A summer camp favorite. Graham crackers. Marshmallows. Chocolate. A stick. And an open fire. The components to the all-american classic. But what do you do when some of those pieces are not available?
With just over 60 days until the first day of camp, we wanted to share a delicious indoor s’mores recipe to get you in the camp spirit. These bite size treats are super easy to make and even more fun to eat.
Ingredients:
*** 7 whole graham crackers
*** ¼ cup powdered sugar
*** 6 tablespoons butter (melted)
*** 12 Large Marshmallows
*** 4 bars (1.55oz each) milk chocolate candy, divided
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Crush graham crackers into crumbs by placing in double resealable plastic bag. After they are super fine, mix butter and powdered sugar together with crumbs.
Step 2
Spoon a little bit of graham cracker mixture into each muffin slot. Use a spoon or teaspoon to form a small cup. Place in oven for 4-5 minutes or until edges are bubbling.
Step 3
While in the oven, cut chocolate bars into small rectangles. Also, using a pair of scissors dipped in water, cut the marshmallows in half so you still have two circles. Remove pan from oven and place one chocolate rectangle in each cup. Then place marshmallow cut side down into each cup as well. Place back in oven for 1-2 minutes until marshmallow is soft.
Step 4
Use a spoon to pop out each cup and place on a cooling rack. Dip each s’more cup into the chocolate and give a nice twist to get a cool swirl. Allow them to sit so chocolate sets completely.
